Help your child to gain a sense of inner peace and control over their emotions! Being a tween (ages:10-13) is one of the hardest developmental times of our lives. We can all look back on our middle school years, and remember just how awkward and confusing it was!

At this 8 week Tween Yoga for Mindfulness series your child will:
Learn mindfulness strategies that make sense for them.
Feel a sense of control over their emotions.
Calm and heal their nervous systems.
Become more resilient and better able to handle the stress of teenage years.
Practice yoga in a safe space with other kids their age.
Build more confidence, and self-awareness.
Learn that they are not alone in their experiences!
What to expect in a class:
All mats and yoga supplies are provided. Please bring water, and wear comfortable clothing.
No prior yoga experience necessary.
First part of class will include a check-in and mini lesson about a mindfulness strategy.
Last part of class will include a 10 minute relaxation.
This is a blend between a therapy/process group, and a tween friendly yoga class. Confidentiality will be followed like any other therapy group.
Weekly attendance is strongly encouraged (not required), because we will be building on what we learn.
Parents will need to sign consent for their child to participate in group therapy and yoga.
Participants must be between the age of 10 and 13.
Space is limited to no more than 8 students per class.
Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby areas in our building, or drop their child off.
What are my parking options for getting to and from the event?
You may park for free anywhere around our building, called The Troy Center.
