Cave de Buxy Bourgogne Blanc 2017
Burgundy is the birthplace of Chardonnay and different winemaking techniques used in the area reflect how diverse the variety can present itself in the glass. For Buxy, fermentation and aging take place in the absence of oak to keep attention focused on purity of fruit. The nose exhibits citrus, orchard and tropical fruit qualities with nice, clean mineral finish. A perfect aperitif or lunch wine.
Matthew Fritz Chardonnay 2017
North Coast, California
This Chardonnay is bright and fresh with medium gold color. Aromas of ripe pear and yellow apple. Fuller bodied, but crisp clean fruit cuts through in the mid palate with a round and rich mouthfeel. It finishes with flavors of white peach and just a hint of French Oak.
Elena Walch Selezione Chardonnay 2018
Alto Adige, Italy
On the sub-alpine terraces of the Alto Adige, Chardonnay expresses itself as a refreshing lively grape. With a woman at the helm, Walch wines are completely estate grown and handpicked, an indication of quality that is apparent at first taste, This wine shines in brilliant straw yellow with a fruity bouquet of exotic notes, ripe apples and light floral aromas. On the palate, it is elegant and mild with an interesting finish. A stimulating accompaniment to food, even heartier dishes.
