Join me for a 4 week Yoga foundations to help kickstart your yoga journey or help you get back into your practice with strong foundations.
We will meet weekly on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 PM at Urban Sanctuary to focus on strength, flexibility, and balance while focusing on proper alignment.
What to expect:
This 4-week series will explore basic techniques of yoga including breath, alignment, and safe transitions. We will pick apart many yoga poses using a variety of props and you will learn these principles with plenty of personal attention. This course will be beneficial to help you apply yoga for your own body and it’s specific needs. Also, it will help you ease into public yoga classes or help improve and grow your home practice!
In this course we will explore:
▫️ Sanskrit names
▫️ Basic yogic breathing techniques (pranayama) and their importance to your yoga and meditation practice
▫️ Proper alignment of different yoga poses
▫️ Safe transitions between poses
All levels are welcome!
